The Lamar Band provides students a place to belong and uniquely engaging experiences that can only be found here. Consisting of approximately 260 musicians, the Lamar Band has achieved over thirty years of excellence and personal growth through hard work and perseverance. As the largest music program on campus, we’re proud to be active and contributing members of our local community, performing at elementary schools, high schools, performing arts centers, and local churches. Students in the Lamar Band are also very active around campus, participating in athletics, theater, art, choir, NJHS, student council, and numerous off-campus activities. Through partnering with our brothers and sisters in the Briarhill, Downing, and Marcus Bands, we use the medium of music and instrumental education to teach core disciplines necessary for future success.
